It is for good reason that Antarctica is known as The Ice, since most of the earth's snow and ice is located there. The thickest known ice is almost three miles deep and scientists are still debating the age of the oldest ice. If the entire Antarctic Ice Sheet were to melt, the oceans would rise by more than 200 feet.
